Ceramic Tiled Fireplace - 2015 -

The arts, no matter where you look, are often undervalued. I was lucky enough to go to a high school with a ceramics program, but even then, my craft and ambition was often looked down upon when compared to fields such as Science, Math, and English. As part of my semester long project my senior year , I decided to tile the fireplace located in my school's library. This direct action was a response to the lack of art around campus. The bottle sitting directly on top of the my fireplace was made by me and was the 2015 Art Purchase Award.
