He wanted a wall so I made one. 100% Mexican made.
Brick making and masonry work is deeply rooted in my culture and my family history. It was great to get a glimpse into the work and labor required to make buildings and structures with just bricks.

Corky Gonzales was a civil rights leader, activist, and inspiration to many Chicanx during the 1960s/1970s. “F*** THE POLICE” is a compilation of text excerpts and full page documents from the 978 page FBI file for Corky. Although I used the Freedom of Information Act to access the file, the FBI failed to release and deleted 174 pages from the report. The goal for “**** the ******” is to physically expose the ways our government has portrayed civil rights leaders as villains, communists, and extremists. By utilizing clay’s permanence, I forever expose the false discourse that our government often creates for many civil rights leaders.
